v2.16.0: Mobile: while the route legend is shown, the map controls (GPS + zoom) now move to the bottom-left corner instead of hiding — the attribution banner is tucked away meanwhile — and tapping the minimized control panel now expands it.
v2.15.3: Contour labels now scale with zoom — sparse major-line labels when zoomed out, denser labels (including minor lines) when zoomed in, like classic topo maps.
v2.15.2: Security fixes — waypoint names from shared GPX files are no longer treated as HTML (cross-site scripting fix), plus browser security headers, a Secure session cookie, and backend hardening.
v2.15.1: The installed app now works fully offline — MapLibre is self-hosted and precached — and the terrain Scan / Climb / Slope tools are faster and no longer get stuck disabled after a failed lookup. Also fixed slope-map cell sizing.
v2.15.0: The footer can now show the current map Coordinates (map-center latitude/longitude). Enable it under Advanced settings; tap the readout to copy the coordinates to the clipboard.

Advanced settings

Crosshair color: i Color of the crosshair marking the map's center. Choose one that stands out against your usual basemap. (Default: Black) Enable 3D exaggeration slider i Adds an on-map slider to exaggerate terrain height in 3D, making slopes look steeper or flatter. (Default: Disabled) Enable Hillshade opacity slider i Adds an on-map slider to set the strength (opacity) of the Hillshade relief shading. (Default: Disabled) Enable contour line layer i Draws topographic contour lines over the terrain, generated from the elevation data. (Default: Disabled) Enable contour labels i Labels the major contour lines with their elevation. Only applies when the contour layer is on. (Default: Enabled) Enable sync map with elevation profile i While viewing a GPX route's elevation profile, moves a marker along the map as you scrub the profile. (Default: Enabled) Enable tilt i Lets you tilt the map into a 3D view with a two-finger drag or the Tilt button. (Default: Enabled) Max tilt angle: i How far the map may tilt, from 0° (flat) to 85°. The Tilt and 3D buttons ease to this angle. (Default: 60°) 60° Overzoom i Lets you zoom in beyond the map tiles' native detail. Tiles are stretched, so they may look blurry. (Default: Disabled) Show crosshair i Shows a crosshair at the center of the map marking the exact point being measured. (Default: Enabled) Show zoom i Shows the current zoom level in the panel footer. (Default: Enabled) Show scale i Shows the current map scale (e.g. 1:50 000) in the panel footer. (Default: Disabled) Show center to GPS i Shows the distance from your GPS position to the map crosshair while GPS is on. (Default: Disabled) Show coordinates i Shows the coordinates of the map center in the panel footer. Tap to copy. (Default: Disabled)

Debug settings

Water analysis (filter water from results) i Filters out water bodies (lakes, sea) from the highest-points results, so peaks found on water are ignored. (Default: Disabled) Climb Step Res. (m): i Spacing between elevation samples taken along a climb. Smaller values are more precise but slower to compute. (Default: 10) Peak Min Dist. (px): i Minimum distance, in pixels, between two detected peaks. Larger values spread the highest points further apart. (Default: 40) Scan Angles: i Number of directions sampled around each point when measuring the steepest ascent. More angles are more accurate but slower. (Default: 32)
